SENER Aeroespacial MDE (Mechanism Drive Electronics) is a multi-purpose two-axes stepper motor controller, which can operate a wide range of Space mechanisms including APMs, SADAs, etc, where accurate pointing and low-microvibration levels are needed. MDE is compatible with the SENER DTA family of rotary actuators, as well as third party mechanisms.

It is part of SENER Aeroespacial Inter-Satellite and Earth Observation Datalink Subsystems as APME (Antenna Pointing Mechanism Electronics). It has been engineered in accordance with ESA’s ECSS standards, providing unparallel reliability and performance.

  • The MDE comprises two electrically identical units, which are intended to be operated in cold redundancy
